OES: Online Education Services Case Study

Implementing a highly scalable, fully-integrated, marketing lead-gen platform

Background.

OES, a JV between Swinburne and SEEK, is a business catering to servicing Australian Universities with an online business – including lead generation and student conversion. To deliver on this promise they needed to develop a website template and structure that could be re-used to allow for efficiencies as they roll their solution out to other interested partners.

The solution.

Sonar Group delivered a WordPress website for Swinburne Online which has then been re-used for Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and Western Sydney University (WSU).  While each website has a different look and feel, the underlying technology and templates inherit common components. In each case, the University is able to update content by themselves through WordPress CMS publishing. Sonar delivered the initial Swinburne Online website in 4 months.

Sonar continues to be engaged to execute the phased approach with additional functionality and UX changes based on user behaviour, and also roll out further University Partner sites together with OES Marketing. 

The results.

Swinburne Online is a big business on it’s own, with the website playing a pivotal role, and generating tens of millions of dollars of revenue to the company each year.
