Front-end Developer

Sonar Group is looking for a full time Front-end Developer with experience building, and implementing leading front-end frameworks to join our Melbourne based team. The role is for a passionate developer who has sold front-end coping skills across a range of frameworks as well as experience building in Wordpress and PHP. The right candidate will be part of a fantastic development team in our growing digital consultancy and will help drive the technical development and connected capabilities within the business.

Duties

THE ROLE

This role will help lead the front-end development for Sonar Group, as well as require the person to implement and maintain their code for larger programmes, whilst being supported by our Senior Developer and wider Sonar team as required. At the end of the day we are seeking an excellent developer that is keen to be part of a growing consultancy, and make their mark as an integral part of our team, not just another ‘resource’ within a larger agency.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be a problem solver and a technologist at heart, bringing a creative, analytical, adaptable, logical and thorough approach.
  • Charge the FED team to develop highly scalable, high-quality code across the business.
  • Supporting structuring, customising and building WordPress sites, based upon requirements and designs.
  • Ensuring all technical solutions across the business follow latest design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Ensuring technical solutions are optimised and make proper use of caching, minimisation and other optimisation techniques.
  • Working within a range of front-end technologies and frameworks, and helping develop Sonar’s overall technical capabilities
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbally and written, and can talk to technical clients, application consultants, and infrastructure experts – as well as your immediate office team colleagues

Experience

  • At least 3+ years commercial or relevant experience working with a combination of:
    • JavaScript Frameworks / Libraries (eg. Angular.js, React.js)
    • HTML/CSS and Pre-Processors (e.g Sass or LESS)
    • WordPress and creating custom themes
  • Working and collaborating within a team environment
  • Experience working with Git and an understanding of best practices for managing and reviewing code within source control services such as BitBucket
  • Experience with DevOps and automating build processes.
  • Exposure, use, and understanding of Google Analytics
  • Experience with cloud environments

Duties

Initially, you will work very closely with the existing Performance Consultants, assisting with the campaigns and programs they run for our clients. Once you are across our Sonar way of working, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients in terms of strategy and ongoing delivery.

On top of that, you will have an opportunity to work across other areas of performance including SEO, Paid Social, Website Optimization, Programmatic Display, Native, EDM, Analytics, Dashboarding, Website Tracking and any other digital marketing channel you can think of. Our clients will value your opinion and ability to think strategically. From the start you will have the opportunity to communicate directly with our clients at a management level, answer their questions and impact the success of their business.

This role will manage the paid digital strategic and optimisation needs for a portfolio of key clients. This role will work closely with the Search and Analytics team to drive ROI using social channels through the use of strategic initiatives, re-marketing, and custom audience driven campaigns. In this role you will be hands on and client-facing. It is a role that will allow you to leverage your experience, to up and cross skill from new performance disciplines, and to develop your career in digital marketing.,

CAMPAIGN CREATION & OPTIMISATION

  • Create campaigns in platforms
  • Optimise over time
  • Provide campaign reporting using data to drive insights and recommendations
  • Offer strategic insights & conduct research
  • Manage account budgeting and pacing
  • Provide competitor, audience, industry and/or landscape research

CLIENT LIAISON

  • Become a trusted point of contact
  • Lead client conversations
  • Coordinate WIPs, bulletins and reports

Experience

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in Google Ads
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Client facing skills including willing to share your point of view in meetings, and very personable
  • Self-starter: able to take initiative and get things done
  • Good with Google Slides, Sheets & Docs

Digital Producer

You are experienced digitally-led Project Manager, Producer, or Senior Account Manager, and looking to further your career and help manage multiple, simultaneous client activity for medium-sized client organisations. You are keen to gain more experience on a range of technical and campaign based projects (data and insights programs, websites, social marketing campaigns) and help manage your client’s expectations, and report the project progress against agreed milestones. You are accountable, responsible, organised, detailed and a clear communicator. You are also a strategic and creative thinker, and relish solving clients’ problems. You are comfortable leading and managing a suite of clients accountability, and helping work with the wider Sonar team to execute and implement end solutions.

Duties

THE ROLE

  • Defining and scoping projects with the client and wider Sonar team
  • Suggesting creative solutions to the client’s problems
  • Being a key internal team contact (together with the Client Services Director) and communicating to multiple stakeholders frequently
  • Manage and monitor projects through the studio
  • Scheduling work , managing production schedules, liaising with suppliers, and managing the studio through-put
  • Managing, sometimes technically challenging, work through to completion
  • Build day to day relationships with creative, media & other external partners
  • Preparing quotes and managing commercial documentation
  • Preparing project plans for client and internal team tasks
  • Attending frequent status meetings with the client
  • Getting your hands dirty in all shapes and sizes of digital and data led projects

Experience

User Interface (UI) Designer

You will help manage the portfolio of digital interaction and platform interface design for Sonar Group. This includes working collaboratively with our development and data teams to create and implement best-in-class design experiences for our clients, across devices, screens, and channels.
