Associate, Performance Marketing

Duties

This is a great role for someone who has some exposure to an aspect of digital performance and looking to learn more across a wider set, ultimately building themselves into a digital performance consultant – able to connect a client’s business objectives through to an appropriate strategy across platforms/digital marketing tools. You will work very closely with the existing Senior Performance Consultants, assisting with a wide variety of digital performance activities. This role is client facing. Our clients will value your opinion and ability to think strategically. From the start you will have the opportunity to communicate directly with our clients at a management level, answer their questions and impact the success of their business. Example Activities

Client / Account / Project Management
Having frequent client interaction around project or campaign implementation progress, liaising around upcoming meetings and agendas, and updating shared tools like project plans, client WIPs and media plans.

Strategy
Provide support for the Lead Consultants in terms of translating broad media plans and business objectives into tactical, innovative paid social campaigns.

Campaign Execution/Implementation
Execute campaigns with the oversight of the Lead Consultants.

Reporting / Analytics
Learn how to create strong, clear reports that demonstrate business understanding by setting out actionable recommendations, so you feel comfortable playing a more lead role here in the future..

Experience

  • 1-2 years experience working in, but not limited to, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Organic Social
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Agency and/or consulting experience (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail – able to demonstrate thoroughness and care taken across all tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks at the same time
  • A curious and analytical mind – not afraid of numbers and have evidence of providing analysis
  • A passion for digital marketing

Full-Stack Developer

Duties

THE ROLE

This role will will be integral to the delivering on Sonar’s technical capabilities, as well as require the person to implement and maintain their code for larger programmes, whilst being supported by our FED and wider Sonar team as required. At the end of the day we are seeking an excellent developer, with a can-do attitude that is keen to be part of a growing consultancy, and make their mark as an integral part of our team, not just another ‘resource’ within a larger agency.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be a problem solver and a technologist at heart, bringing a creative, analytical, adaptable, logical and thorough approach.
  • Support the technical team to develop highly scalable, high-quality code across the business.
  • Structuring, customising and building custom WordPress sites, based upon requirements and designs.
  • Ensuring all technical solutions across the business follow latest design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Ensuring technical solutions are optimised and make proper use of caching, minimisation and other optimisation techniques.
  • Working with infrastructure and hosting providers, including cloud providers, to design client solutions and key integrations.
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers to understand technical requirements, define how the clients can best utilise services, and to design technical solutions.
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbally and written, and can talk to senior technical clients, application consultants, and infrastructure experts – as well as your immediate office team colleagues.

Experience

  • At least 4+ years commercial or relevant experience working with a combination of:
    • PHP5 or later
    • PHP Frameworks (e.g. Laravel)
    • WordPress and creating custom themes
    • JavaScript Frameworks / Libraries (eg. Angular.js, React.js)
    • HTML/CSS and Pre-Processors (e.g Sass or LESS)
    • MySQL or/and MariaDB including data migrations and optimizations
    • Database Design (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Working and collaborating within a team environment
  • Experience working with Git and an understanding of best practices for managing and reviewing code within source control services such as BitBucket
  • Experience with DevOps and automating build processes.
  • Exposure, use, and understanding of Google Analytics
  • Experience with cloud environments
  • Comfortable with supporting client interaction and enhancing those relationships alongside our Client GoTo leads and other Sonar team.

Lead Digital Producer

The Lead Digital Producer is a critical member of the Sonar Team owning overall digital delivery, the evolution of our project management offering, leading the PM team, and also acting as the primary point on key clients where digital production is our core service. The role requires a strong mixture of: interpersonal, communications, organisational, strategic and creative thinking to support the often concurrent and diverse mixture of work that flows through the agency during any given month. This role leads and manages a suite of clients with a strong focus on website development, and support & maintenance (SAM) activities. This will be supported by the Directors, the team of Developers, Designers and Performance Consultants based on client commercial scope of work. The role also includes managing at least 2x direct Producer/PM reports and supporting/activating their ability to add value to the business and clients. Additionally, this role will see you as an integral part of the Sonar Management Team, helping drive the business into future phases of growth and capability maturity.

You are currently a Digital Producer and have at least 3-years+ practical experience either agency or client side working across digital marketing activities – with a focus on web development and ecommerce support. You have experience delivering large projects as well as Support and Maintenance (SAM) programmes. You are looking to enhance your career in digital marketing and seeking an exciting challenge as part of a growing digital consultancy. You are adept at managing team & client expectations, reporting progress against agreed milestones to team and managers, and feel comfortable to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into a range of exciting digital marketing activities.

You know waterfall and agile methodologies and can apply principles of both depending on client / project need. You are also familiar with different project management and operational tools including task/ticket management and the implementation of resourcing plans and task/project schedules to help our Technical team to deliver. CORE TASKS

Project Management

  • Ongoing management of projects to ensure balance of scope/time/budget and ensuring projects land on time and on budget, and enforcing change request process where necessary
  • Generation and submission of project estimates, planning documents, and project summaries to help sell-in and deliver your client’s requirements
  • Regular commercial review of projects and clients with Client Leads and Producer team
  • Senior GoTo Client Lead across a number of Sonar’s key client accounts

Strategic Direction

  • Gathering the necessary extended Sonar team capabilities to support client growth activities and overall commercial health of client programs
  • Leading the implementation and maturity Sonar’s processes, operational ‘stack’ and general ways of working
  • Providing proactive input and broader value to the wide agency and team
  • Assisting with regular internal and client report milestones including month-end and Quarterly Business Reviews

Experience

Team Management

  • Management of Digital Producer team of 2 members including their activation, utilisation, learning and development planning, coaching and ability to add value to Sonar
  • Being a key driver in the direction of Project Management for the company including people/skills, tools and process

  • Integral member of the Management Team supporting commercial and capability growth, along with wider team and cultural development

Operations Management

  • Overseeing the resource scheduling, development/production, QA, and implementation of all client Tasks
  • Monthly scheduling & reconciliation of projects and tasks with Production team (using Smartsheet / Harvest )
  • Ensuring the Developer and Production team submit timely and accurate timesheet submissions to Harvest based on daily/weekly/monthly task schedule

Process Management

  • Running of daily Dev’up team resourcing review mapped to Team’s task schedule and Client Missions for week – SAM and Project
  • Management and reconciliation of monthly client SAM sheets in line with team effort and timesheets – accordingly to approved client work for mid and end month internal reviews
  • Publishing regular Bulletins to defined list of clients, and liaising with Sonar extended team to deliver outcomes based on client’s scoped cadence for communications

Client & Project Support

  • Liaising with client Leads specific to assigned tasks and deliverables 
  • Supporting the integration between Sonar Performance Marketing and Technical Production & Design services
  • Supporting wider Sonar team and Directors across client program requirements as required, including Performance Programs, strategic development, and general tasks as needed
  • Supporting Sonar Directors to manage month-end processes for closing off projects, invoicing and commercial reconciliation
