Consulting Skills Bootcamp
Sonar provides a level of training across all consultants to help ensure there is a ‘Sonar Way’ to how we work and provide value to clients.
The bootcamp includes hearing directly from CMO’s to better understand their priorities, their day-to-day roles and what they look for in partnerships with consultancies like Sonar. The Bootcamp also involves ongoing training on strategic frameworks and facilitaiton practices to put into practice both internally and on client engagements.
The Consulting Skills Bootcamp receives very positive feedback from our staff and is regularly updated and evolving to ensure it stays as relevant as possible.
Learning & Development Program
Our Learning and Development program is designed to align with both the strategic goals of our agency and the individual growth aspirations of our employees.
We tailor training opportunities to ensure our team stays ahead in the ever-evolving digital marketing landscape. Typically at the conclusion of the first month of employment the employee sits down with their manager and maps out their program. It is often a combination of formal learning through structured courses and applied hands-on learning.
By continuously assessing both company objectives and personal career paths, we create a culture of learning that drives innovation, enhances expertise, and fosters long-term success for our people and our business.
Mind Body & Soul
The Mind, Body, and Soul allowance is a sum of money that Sonar provides to its employees to keep the juices flowing.
It can be used for anything as long as it enriches your mind, body, or soul. In this industry it is important to try and stay rejuvenated and refreshed. This comes in different forms for different people. It is up to the person on what they spend it on, but one thing – they have to share with the team how they used it. In the past it has been used to buy a pair of running shoes, for surfing lessons, a haircut, a spa day, weights for a home gym, a classical guitar, a night at the pub with mates, and for a baby harness for a pending new arrival.
It isn’t a huge sum of money, $300, but it goes a long way. Not only in giving a bit of a nudge to people to indulge in something that will fuel them, but also in the team share around what they have used it for, and a bit of additional insight into our people and what drives them outside of work.
It is a small thing that makes Sonar, Sonar.
Sonar Socials
About every second month there is a social event at Sonar of some kind.
In the past they have included axe throwing, dart throwing, mini golf, Halloween, video game competitions and trivia. These events are typically held during the work day so our employees with kids or responsibilities after work can still attend.
