UX/UI Designer
I believe that I will become a very good designer and my passion and willingness to improve my skills every day will allow me to get to a point where I can seek opportunities as a senior designer and possibly even higher.
My perfect day starts with a nice breakfast and a big cup of almond latte; coffee is a must in my morning routine. Once I have had my coffee, I check out my to-do list that is called ‘Leo tasks list’ and jump straight to work. I check my calendar out regularly so I can be aware of my meetings during the day. During the process of creating some new designs or finding solutions; I’m always aware of how the user would receive the information and that makes me a perfectionist. The best feeling I have during a work day is when a client is happy with the outcome.
I think the best way for me to find inspiration or improve my skills is by receiving feedback from other designers and the people I’m working with. As well as some digital resources, I always find inspo by checking websites like Awaaards or Behance (I have published some stuff there if you want to check it out!).
Apart from design, my other passion is the beach life. So if the weather is nice I’m always looking for good spots for surfing or snorkelling.
My favourite thing about working with Sonar is the transparency that we all have as a team, and the support I have received since I joined the company. I also like the autonomy and freedom to come up with new designs and ideas.
It is hard to mention only three top songs, as music is very important in my daily life, but according to Spotify my top three songs for 2021 were:
I’m not much into books, although I like audio-books; I recently listened to this one called ‘Man’s searching for meaning’ by Viktor Frankl and ‘I’m That’ by Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj.
My favourite podcasts are ‘UI breakfast’ and ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’.
It is hard to decide on my top three movies but I would say Back to the future, Interstellar and Arrival.
Colombian food, of course! (Empanadas and Arepas)
